The closest cleared unit will be dispatched to you, all vehicles are manned with two drivers. One driver will drive you and your guests in your vehicle to your desired destination. Our other driver follows to pick up his/her partner at the end of the trip.  When you call for the service, a customer service representative will ask for your phone number, name, where you need to be picked up and your destination address.  Alternatively you may also download our App where you can summon a vehicle by adding your information there. We recommend using our app as you can track the progress of our drivers. 

 No customers are allowed in our chase vehicles due to liability. 

Unfortunately no! We are not insured for this service nor do we carry a Hack licence within Medicine Hat or Redcliff to do this. You would need to call a cab or rideshare if this is the case. 

Alternatively, if you do own a vehicle but are just not with your vehicle we would be able to go retrieve your vehicle and come pick you up and take you to a destination of your choosing.

We accept VISA and MASTERCARD as well as, debit and cash. 

Prices Vary depending on where you are going but our rates are as follows:

A $16.00 base rate and $1.75 per km after. We utilize a state of the art gps guided dispatch system to improve rate accuracy. You can obtain a quote from our BOOK A RIDE page. Simply click on the book a ride section of the page and add your pick up and drop off locations. You will be required to set up an account. IT'S FREE and we will not hassle you with unwanted emails.  

We also offer other services that are charged per hour. Please refer to our SERVICES page for fees.

Absolutely! We would be honored to have a dedicated car or two for your special event or Christmas party. Please reach out to us to book this.

Yes, We would request that you let us know that your vehicle has interlock installed when you request the service. We ask that you provide a clean unused mouth piece for our driver. (We do strive to try and maintain a supply ourselves but may not have any in stock) 

Yes. The Coachmen Inc. does carry a $5,000,000.00 general liability insurance but this insurance doesn't cover your vehicle being driven by our drivers.

Also, if a driver slips and falls on your property while working for you, we carry WCB insurance to cover them negating your liability for our driver. 

 The Coachmen Inc. is NOT a ride share service.  We are a designated driving service where we drive you in YOUR vehicle.  We strive to be transparent here on this page and make the following statement:

As per the Senior Consumer Information Officer of the Insurance Bureau of Canada, their information is as follows:

The SPF.#1 – Alberta Standard Automobile Policy is the contract that the owner of a vehicle is required by law to have in place if he/she wants to drive a vehicle. This contract covers the owner of the vehicle as an “Insured”. The definition of “Insured” includes, “…,every other person who with his consent personally drives the automobile, ….against the liability imposed by law upon the Insured or upon any such person for loss or damage arising from the ownership, use and operation of the automobile…”   Therefore, if your driver has the permission of the owner/insured to drive him home in his/her own automobile, it follows that your driver is an “Insured” under the terms of the contract.  Insofar as you or your designated driver has no insurable interest in the automobile you cannot insure it.

You cannot buy a SPF #1 policy to cover the vehicles your designated drivers may drive. There is no need to do so as they are already covered by the policy that the owner has on the vehicle.
